Master lateral movement into quick jump shots, progressing from subtle shifts to dynamic drifts, then refine your pure shooting touch with focused swishes.
Drill 1 of 2
Dribble laterally left or right → gather → elevate into a jump shot, increasing lateral movement with each progression.
Drill 2 of 2
Stand in place → focus on form and touch → shoot for swishes.
Is this drill for you?
For intermediate shooters (Level 3) who can catch-and-shoot and want to add lateral dribble pull-ups, then sharpen pure touch - hoop required.
The ladder: Lateral dribble jump shots first, stationary swish shooting to close.
Variations: Both lateral directions.
In a game: When the catch-and-shoot is not there, one lateral dribble re-opens the window - this builds the gather-and-rise that makes the pull-up as reliable as the spot-up.
Two drills only - simple by design; the volume lives in the reps.
