Master lunge shooting by dropping into a deep stance, then aggressively stepping and exploding into your shot to increase range and power.
The drill
Drop into deep lunge stance with loaded wrist → aggressively step with lead foot → explode off ground → shoot → repeat on both sides.
For lunge shooting to help increase your range, all you're gonna do is drop into a deep lunge stance, get low, chest up, wrist loaded back. Then, you're gonna step into your shot as aggressively as you can with your foot and explode off the ground. Repeat on both sides.
Is this drill for you?
For developing shooters (Level 2) adding range by loading power from a deep lunge into an explosive step-in shot.
Variations: Repeat on both sides as the trainer cues; step into the shot as aggressively as you can.
In a game: Deep-range shots are legs, not arms - this builds the lower-body load that carries your shot out past the line.
Needs a hoop.
