This intense crossover dribbling drill, executed from a low stance, builds explosive shiftiness and quick hand-eye coordination while burning the legs.
The drill
Start in a low stance with one hand on the cone → execute a crossover dribble → touch cone with the opposite hand.
keep your hands on the cone. When I say go, cross, boom, touch. Cross, touch. Cross, touch. Does that make sense? So, hold that dribble. It's gonna burn the legs. Go. Go. Go.
Is this drill for you?
For novice ballhandlers (Level 2) who want to stay low through the crossover - a cone-touch drill that locks in the stance - cones required.
Variations: Touch the cone with the opposite hand on each rep.
In a game: Staying low through a crossover keeps your base under you - that balance is what survives contact on a drive.
Needs a cone or marker; the low stance burns the legs by design.
