Master quick-burst scoring with dynamic 'Pop' and 'Drop' dribble attacks, challenging players to explode past defenders for efficient finishes.
The drill
Perform quick, low 'Pop' dribbles while stationary → drive hard to the rim → finish at the basket.
Bop. Bop. Bop. Bop. If he moves off that line, it's one point for you, right? If I score the basket, I get another point, so that'd be two points. Bop. Rim. There you go. Yes! Finish.
Is this drill for you?
For intermediate players (Level 3) who are comfortable with basic combo dribbles and want to turn a low pop dribble into a hard drive and finish - hoop required, no partner needed.
In a game: The pop dribble into a hard drive shows up when a defender is flat-footed at the arc - this builds the explosive first step and low dribble to beat them before help arrives.
Needs a hoop; the video frames the work as a 1-on-1 scoring game, so a defender adds the intended pressure.
