The drill
Dribble between legs → cross dribble → punch dribble → let ball hang back.(repeat from both sides )
cross punch. Let it hang back. One, two, punch. Let it hang back. You got it? So here, Pa, pa, punch. Let it hang. One, two, punch. Let it hang back. One, two, punch.
Is this drill for you?
For intermediate ballhandlers (Level 3) who can chain a between-the-legs and cross and want to let the ball hang to change pace - no hoop, no partner needed.
Variations: Both sides.
In a game: Letting the ball hang back changes your pace without an extra dribble - the defender relaxes, and that's when you punch past them.
