The drill
Dribble → absorb trainer's contact with planted feet and lower half → drive forward explosively
trying to give you some contact here. Now I want you just drive him down the hill, boom, push! Yep.
Is this drill for you?
For intermediate players (Level 3) who can drive in a straight line and want to keep their balance and power through real contact - a partner supplies the contact, no hoop needed.
Variations: One direction per rep, then switch.
In a game: Driving downhill through a hip check is how you finish against aggressive defenders instead of getting knocked off your line - this builds the lower-body strength for it.
Needs a partner to supply contact; skip it solo.
