Master low, wide stance dribbling through cones with intense lateral movement, building elite shiftiness and ball control for game-ready handles.
The drill
Set up cones in parallel lines. Maintain low, wide stance, dribbling laterally through cones with alternating crossovers and shift the cones from left to the right.
Is this drill for you?
For advanced handlers (Level 4) who already have a tight low handle and want to keep it while weaving laterally and relocating cones with the off hand - no hoop or partner needed.
Variations: Alternating crossovers; cones shift left to right.
In a game: Sliding laterally with a live low dribble while your off hand works mirrors keeping your dribble alive along the perimeter against a reaching defender - this builds that two-task control.
Needs several cones or markers and floor space for lateral weaving; loud dribbling. Too advanced for beginners.
